Hello, i am a v8 guy personally. i am buying a 3rd gen for my sister and i saw a really nice 91 rs but it has the v6. i was wondering what kinda power/preformance can u guys get from these engines. i want a car that can hall a little a$$. what is the most common 1/4 mile times u guys are running.

GUYS WILL LOVE YOUR SISTER FOR CHOOSING SUCH A QUALITY RIDE!
Your sister will love you for all the guy attention she is getting.
She'll do fine in that ride.
The V-6s have spunk for fun!
If it's a T-Top she'll kiss your feet & introduce you to all her cute friends.
So don't blow this chance at major guy happiness!

Performance around town is a bit better than a 305 TBI... At higher speeds (interstate) the V6 starts to show its weaknesses. Not a bad starter car, but if she/you ever intend to improve the power, the V6 isn't where I'd suggest starting.

Too bad mine's not on the road, or I'd take ya for a ride in it. Ask the guy selling it if you can test drive it or if your sister can.

Though I'm used to alot of power
,whether its the race boat ,motorcycle or whatever, I do like the V6.
They have just enough power to snap you back in the seat, but not enough to be hazardous on wet or slippery roads.
Besides she'll love ya when the insurance payment is due.

honda civic is an economy car thats got a whole lot of aftermarket items, my family has 2 civics, they are by all means NOT A SPORTS CAR! not even the v-tec, my sisters car has a v-tec and its still just a simple economy car with not power. and its definatly not a sportscar...

I got a 3.1 firebird... i think its called the uh, slow one. =)
but you can easily free her up some power if she wants it.
-Hi performance camshaft w/ 1.62 roller rockers
-open air element w/ k&n (no foam filter imposters!)
-Hi perf pulleys
-pop up pistons
-dynomax exhaust system with either of the two mufflers (i think the super turbo is better than the ultra flow)
-hi flow catalytic converter
these are basically my plans for the car, and with a chip i can see it hauling quite a bit of ***, let alone just a little =)
no matter what tho, the 3.1 stock is still a cool car, it just needs a little help off the line hehe.
