I have a spare set of these, maybe I should paint the centers gold and put them on the trans am 16" 3pc RFX modular wheels:

 

they look alot like the new corvette ZR-1 wheels

 

Here's some pictures of mine. Car was sitting up on jackstands so it's sitting up a little high in the pictures. Should have taken the pictures after I took the car for a ride as it settled down a bit but it still needs to be lowered. Wheels are American Racing Torq Thrust M's 17X8, 4.5 back spacing, and 0mm offset. Tires are Hankook V12's in 245 50 17.

 

I know your post is like 2 months old and stuff, but dooood... $900 for a set of wheels is pretty freakin' cheap!

I like them and got them at a great price. Only down side is that it makes the rest of the car look worse, lol. Going to have to do some paint work sometime in the future.

 

i like the corvette z06 rims.... 275/40/17 in front and 295/45/18 in back

 

i just bought roh zs racing 17*8.5 with a -7mm offset earlier this year. groupawheels.com has them.

I guess I should specify that I want the 9.5" version.. At one point not too long ago I thought they were all discontinued... To find out they still have the 8.5" wide ones...

I know these are everywhere but I just put these 17" Chrome IROC replica wheels on my project daily driver and think they look great. Bought them off of ebay from Custom Wheels market with Nexen N3000 245/45-17 tires. Very happy with them so far.

 

I think they look good but not as good as originals, but its the owner if hes into chrome looks.

 

These are 88 Firebird Formula rims that have been powdercoated black...

 

C6 Z06 for now looking into deep dish set up in the near future...

 

I've never been a huge Camaro fan but this one is absolutely me! What are the specs on the rims/tires & adapters.

 

Wheels are 18 x 9.5(40mm offset,1988 Corvette offset) all the way around. Running 1.25 inch spacers on all 4.

275/35/18 up front and 285/35/18 NT05 in the rear. Switching to 295's or 305's in the rear soon.

 

There are alot of nice rims in this thread. I like my ZR1. Nothing fancy but work well with my car.

 

i do like those... the brush/matte silver of the wheels matches the silver of the two tone.

Like polished aluminum. Cause chrome is chrome, and polished aluminum is polished aluminum. Similar yes same no. Stock alloys on thirdgens usually came with a gelcoat clearcoat... i think. At least mine did. So u would have to sand that off inorder to get to the aluminum. Then get some metal polish a wheel buffer, like Mothers. You could buff those things to a shineee it would look sweet.

 

I love the FM5s they are crazy expensive. I wonder if I would like them as much if they were $500 for all four.

Yes I have a car but sadly I'm still trying to find the right bird. I was just wondering what kinda rims would look good on a bird and what kind were actually popular but I'm dissapointed in what I've found to be honest.

I feel rims really aren't all that important if the're too shiny and draw the eye away from the car itself. The starfish thing seems nimble, too silver-ish and WAY too common.

 

Well thats the thing, alot of the unique styles don't fit our cars. Thats why people stick with almost the same design since well it matches our cars and looks good no matter what color/body trim

 

Got tired of Vette wheels after my 4th set on the IROC so I got these XXR. There diffrent and didnt cost 3 or 4 g's like the other wheels I like.

There 18s I have because i have a set of 15s that look kinda similair for the rear. I think I paid $500 or so for the set but dont remeber from were.

 

Grifter757, I thought about getting the 962's like you have, looks good. Are you planning to lower the rear? It's sits up a bit high.

 

I have 15" wheels off a 1976 Trans Am. I think they look pretty good and I have received a lot of compliments on them. I have never seen another car with them so far. Check my sig for the pic.
