I have summit fast fives on mine. 15x4 front 15x8 rear. I think they look real good. I would also like to have a nice set of 17's one of these days.

Puma, a lot of people dont realize how beautiful the Z28/RS wheels really are! They have a sort of "reflectiveness" to them when the light is just right. Not only that but when you have a set that is clean, and not all beat up like yours and mine, they look really nice.
I would not mind seeing a set of 17's, preferably in the stock gray finish myself.

I put something similar on my Grand Prix. Kinda like a new age take on the RS:

Ignore the dirt.lol
They're 17" as well.

I still love those Corvette wheels and that color together. Looks GREAT, in my opinion.
Rayzor, to answer your question, the color reminds me of my Red Jewel Tintcoat (GM color) IROC I had a few years back, which looked dark and maroonish without sunlight but then brightened up in the sun, since it was a metallic flake paint. I found the Red Jewel color on an 06 Envoy and loved it. Compare the upper picture with the picture of my IROC in the lower picture...the colors look exactly the same.

even with the 45 aspect ratio the 245's will have a profile within .01" of the 275/40

So far I love my stock GTA wheels but after seeing all the pics on this thread it would be nice to upgrade to something else whenever I can, but it's not a priority right now

It does look odd doesn't it. I think if they were a bit smaller and the car was lowered they would look better.

Look at the second pic, its just the first pic I posted that makes them look funny, I agree a lowering will help but its a daily driver and it rubs as-is. They are a perfect size. Compare total diameter and you'll see.

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
I have the stock gta rims and such. I have the original gatorback tires on my car,but they are shot to all hell. I can't find the right tires for my car anymore. It's like no-one carries 16inch rims in a vr-zr 245 size anymore. How do you guys get the tires that fit your cars?

There is King brand logo on them and "made in germany" mark.
I found something interesting here: http://www.wheel-******.com/forum/vi...p?f=32&t=20098

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
just a heads up, the BMW bolt pattern is just enough different that it will slip over the lugs but the tapered seats of the lugnuts will not seat correctly (they'll end up like half a mm off), and in theory won't want to stay tight/will wallow out the seats.
I'm not saying that you absolutely will have a problem, but I wouldn't try it on a car that will be raced or see any real high speed use (I've seen lugnuts come off a wheel while it was driven before... it wasn't pretty, and that was at about 40mph, in that case they were the right pattern, but the seat tapers didn't match so again, they didn't make full contact)

I still think the Z06 wheels look the best, especially with the red color that's on this particular car. The wheels update the look of the car and just look way nice.
I can't tell if these are 18's or 17's though

I know its not a camaro obviously but I have a 91 z28 that im rebuilding and thought this Atomic Orange scheme would be sick. Either the Montegi rims like the ones on the viper or blacked out C6's.. What do you think?!

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
I have wheels for a bimmer on my bird (see sig) the 5x120 pattern for a 3 series car, will bolt on without spacers on the rear but the front hubs WILL NOT clear. You can drill them out to 2.95" and use a standard push-through-the-back style center cap and they will work fine. You can however use a 5 series backspace and a spacer to work around this. I decided to make it work with a few drill bits rather than spend for the spacers.
BTW my factory lugs and factory lug nuts work just fine. Tight for a socket, but fine.

I like the new srt8 challenger rims for the 392 edition http://www.conceptcarz.com/view/phot...nger-SRT8.aspx. If only they weren't 20 inch rims. Have a custom firebird emblem on the spoke and pontiac.

Yeah, i hear you. But, now everyone has those low profile tires with huge rims. I personally dislike the low profile tires. I need meat to my rubber. I just like the style of the srt rims.

its not about the low profile,,i actually run them too, but 20 " is a lot and looks kind of funky on a car like ours ?!

Yeah, it would. The body style doesn't allow it to be a proper ratio of size of chassis and rim size.
