Change then or keep them?!?
I have been shopping around my weld prostar wheels on here. I am wondering what everyones opinion would be on whether I should just keep them or should I change them out for these other rims I have looked into. I will post a pic of my car and then the pics of the rims I would like to get and tell me what you think I should do.
Here are the links to the other Rims,

Ill show pics in next post.

I'd get ZR1's for the street. Probably one of the classiest wheels you can put on these cars.
The C5 and C6 stuff looks okay.... but it doesnt really scream "muscle car" the way the ZR1's do to me... Im sure that's mostly in my head but there's something about the ZR1's that really suits these cars to me.

IMO,the Weld Prostars are for a distinct 1/4 mile look, the others are not.., so its either raked for the 1/4 with Pro Stars or low and mean with the rest.

Re: Change then or keep them?!?
Just me personally...Corvette wheels on these cars are well overplayed. Not that they look bad or anything, but there's TONS of thirdgens with those. I don't care for any of those choices....but out of those, I'd go with the Welds...
BUT it boils down to what YOU want....

Re: Change then or keep them?!?
If you're building a street/strip drag car, the welds are perfect for that look. The modern street rod look has moved on from 15 inch wheels, though. Most guys who build jack of all trades cars that can road race, autocross, and drag race, go with 17 and 18 inch wheels. And make no mistake our cars are VERY well suited for this kind of build, better than most of the cars people do this stuff with. They have VERY versatile, effective suspension setups from the factory.

Re: Change then or keep them?!?
The C5 gunmetal rims are the best of the four sets you are choosing from. Of course you need to get the ones you like the best; but maybe you should get rid of the welds since you wife likes them and probably gets her way too much
Corvette rims are NOT way overplayed on these cars. Maybe on this site a lot of guys have them on but 8 out of 10 people that aren't on this site have stock wheels.

Re: Change then or keep them?!?
Yea I would agree, I dont think that Ive seen any third gens in my area that are actually using vette wheels. Buyer turned out to be a ghost, so the welds for now until I sell em.

Re: Change then or keep them?!?
i personally like all of the wheels. individualy yes. but for every car, no. with your car any of them would look good, but honestly the pro stars i think fit "your" particular cars look. especially spoilerless. kind of has a more masculine look than most of the other 3rdgens. on one of mine, im using 18" chrome rims with a lip.

You should check out Jegs.com They have all of the corvette replicas you could want to choose from, including the three you showed us. A few other companies make Corvette replicas too.
