cheapest/easiest way to get 4" speakers to fit in dash

I was looking for speakers today at the junkyard and couldn't seem to find any 4"x6" so i settled for some nice 4" i zip-tied them in and they sound amazing don't rattle at all.

Anyone know any other cars with 4x6 speakers stock? i couldnt find any f bodies there

There just temporary until i make some wood panels so they can fit in the stock aluminum frame

I don't think I would zip-tie speakers in. Or at least advertise that I did....

This may be a little off topic here but...Is that a Guinea Pig? lol Anyways I know you can find 4x6's in a s10 truck and in pontiac fiero's I think the nissan 240 sx has em too not 100% sure though. There alot more but those are the one's I know about.

If it works for you and sounds good, don't sweat it.

Wal-mart has some cheap Pioneer 4x6" speakers if interested. Just get the 2-way type (same goes for 6x9s)

Re: cheapest/easiest way to get 4" speakers to fit in dash

They're also in the dash in a lot of 88-93 W-bodies (Grand Prix, Lumina, Beretta, Regal, Cutlass Supreme), IIRC. I know the guy I bought mine from had a pair of 5.25" Road Gear (or was it Walmart's other cheap brand?) speakers in the dash, and the driver's side was so far out of the hole that he couldn't put the grill back on (so I ended up replacing the dash pad). I think I replaced them (as I recall, the left one didn't even work because of the crappy wiring job he did) with 4x6's.
