Passed Emissions With No Smog Pump and No Cat.
I passed Tennessee's emissions test the other day with no smog pump and no cat. Man do I feel special; the guy went to the passenger side of my car and was just whistling while he was looking underneath my car with his mirror and my car passed with half of what you're supposed to have C02 wise and all that other emission stuff. Thought i would tell everybody i got away with murder.

Good Job. My mechanic will pass anything I take there. I didnt have the a belt on smog pump and it passed. My mechanic told me to find a dumpster and get rid of that smog crap. Inspection in Va is a joke anyway.

Jacksonville, FL = No tests?
I'm in Jacksonville, FL and I've never heard of anyone even getting a smog test done here. Do the laws go by state or city?
Anyone from around me know if they do 'em here?

Car: '68 396 SS/RS, '02 SS
Back when the goverment started clapming down back in the 80's I had a hard time getting a '68 396 SS/RS w/smog pump because it was a CA. car passed. If it came with it, it had to function.
Last year NC passed a new law that only 1994 and newer had to have an emissions test. So now the kid just has to get a safety inspection.
I hear that even though don;t have to be tested you are still required to have it installed and functioning. If you get caught it's your ****.

All we have here in Tennessee is a state owned station that you pull into you give them your registration and they put the sniffer in your tailpipe. They give you a visual inspection to see if you have a cat or not and if you pass the CO2 test and the other the gases they test for you are on your way. They dont look under your hood and the dont really check to see if you have your check engine light on as i put one of my families pictures to cover it up. I failed to mention in the first post but my check engine light was on also. I passed the sniffer test with flying colors and that goes to show that you dont really need a cat or a smog pump. But those liberal bastards want to trash peoples minds and slow our hot rods down.
