Re: What kind of performance from a T56 can I expect?

Without a corresponding change to the rear end gear ratio, you probably won't like it much.

You also need to flush the system before hand. The two oils are not compatible with each other.

Re: How to check starter solenoid for heat soak?

When you turn the key, do you hear a click or nothing at all? If you hear a click, it's not the solenoid. Have you tried a remote starter button?

Re: oil psi drops?

First thing is to put a real gauge on it. Dash gauges are notoriously inaccurate. If a mechanical gauge shows the same thing, I'd agee that the bearings are about done.

Re: 88 gta running really rich....

I don't think the cat being clogged will make it run rich, but it will make it a dog due to increased backpressure.

Running too rich will kill the cat, though.

Could be the accelerator pump, for sure.

The rich/lean thing could be that the throttle shaft bushings are leaking (vacuum leak).

Not sure

Normal for a carbed engine. This one pump is what should be setting the choke/fast idle when it's cold.

Unless you have a seriously built engine, this is WAY too much carb. Go to a 600 Holley vacuum secondary unit and you'll be much happier.

Re: L69 EPIC Cali Smog fail Need input

Now that you've set the dwell, you have to go back and reset timing. Any time you change dwell, you change timing a corresponding amount. Once you done that, go back and readjust the carb.

Re: pinion seal

That's a part number, won't make a difference if the ring gear is 7.5 or 7.625. They both use the same pinion seal. Any parts store should be able to cross that number to something they carry.
