If you have a dial indicator and a stand, you can set it on the pushrod, zero it out when the cam is on the base circle, and then spin the engine by hand and record the max lift.

Remove the rocker and measure the lobe lift at the pushrod to see if the cam is wiped. Also try and open the valve manually to see if it is sticking/bent/whatever.

Watch the lifters on cylinder #6. As the exhaust closes and intake begins to open you will be on TDC of #1. Set your balancer around 8 or 10 btdc and you're good to go.

Unplug the fan relay. The fan should shut off, and is probably the problem. It should be on the drivers side firewall by the brake booster.
