go to the classifieds here and you'd be amazed what you could find for not alot of money... you could bump your timing up, cooler t-stat, ......or vortec heads and tbi intake and a used cam.... then...

that appeared to be some intensive porting for a big intake going on a 355, i had a similar motor in my GTA, different cam, 58mm,alot of comp, and only had AFR 190's

i did ups.com quick quote and guesstimated each rim weighing 18lbs, doing it ground came out to like 19.38 going to 61201, so times that by 4..... figure another 80 in shipping...

i cant remember specifically what the offset is, if i remember correctly the same as the OE WS-6 17's you'll need the wheel adapters to fit properly.

the cam is still in the accell box with the card as well.

its going in a gmpp 350 4 bolt shortblock with just under 10:1 , my GTA has a manual tranny also. i still have to buy my rockers and pushrods yet.
1. i need to verify if the cam has advance ground...

buried 140 speedo with old set-up and did it mid way through 5th with 2nd combo in the gta

had the 98' up 130ish one time

and buried speedo on the busa once too .... that was a little scary...

on what basis does someone determine wether or not it is necessary to advance or retard a cam a few degrees?

if i am using an accell super ram(74196) and an accell 74219 cam (.525 lift- .219 dur)...

yes your right it would definitely be different and unusual, the difference i was speaking about was dimensions in regard to overall size comparision of a 6.5 to a 6.6, man you guys get testy .... ...

c'mon....like dats any different in terms of trying to fit 10lbs of **** in a 5lb bag. :imo:

however in my wasted years of owning f-bodys, i did once own an 88 L03 formula which hardly guzzled...

i rode to panama city on my busa and avg. 48.7 mpg
i know its not relavent, but it does point how you can have both performance (1.3 L @ 170+ hp) and efficiency . i mean after isnt improved power...

although a real cool diesel swap in dream land would be getting an f-body swapping as many sheetmetal panels for fiber glass ones(front clip,doors), glass for lexan and other weight savings measures...

my stock 98 ta A4 averages about 24mpg going from tampa to miami cruising between 75 and 100+ mph. and in stupid congested stop and go traffic about 18 avg

if you have a Z why not just remove the baffles from the lower air ducting and get some hi-flo filters. gm hi-tech did some thing llike that ages ago back when 3rd gens were once in that magazine....

thats weird my battery is on the dr side? is it a year model thing? my '91 is on the dr side. but my tbi formula (r.i.p.) batt was on pass side.

i was a little aggressive when i ported my MAF (removed heat sinks)and had issue similar to this, i ended up replacing it with another maf equally hogged out but retained the heat sinks car ran...
