12.6-13.0 is a good ballpark for you WOT Air/Fuel. You can get away with being richer if your quench distance is within .005-007" or so of ideal (.040").

Check your Mixture Control Solenoid. Its on the top of the carb, driver side and should have a 2 wire plug going into it.

Yes, the stock valve guides definately can't handle that much lift. I think the max lift is around .475 or .480 without being milled down. Was also considering a 2.02/1.6 grind, but it might end up...

Not all the V6 F bodies in 98 had the 3.42 rear. most were 3.23 with a 5 speed option. Only the 96/97 RS with the 3.8 had a 3.42 rear. I think some were the torsen posi rear, but I'm not 100% certain...
