It all depends how fast you want to go. I built a 84 Z about 15 years ago on the cheap and got the 305 to go 12.87 before it grenaded. This is what it had in it:

Stock 70,000 mile 305 L69 short...

Industrial Air is a division of Coleman. They are a step above the Home Depot and lowes units. I have one of these and I am very happy with it but it is the next one up from the one your looking at....

If you want an easy posible fix I would try Moroso ceramic block sealer it is better than any stop leak.

Well I stand corrected. I was always told that 3.875 stroke was the max unless the roller blocks have more room in them. Do you know what rods they used in it ?

This might be a dumb question but I am kinda new to 3rd gens so be easy: Will a complete Camaro front end fit on a Firebird ? By front end I mean fenders, hood, and front bumper.

The part number on the 097 cam is 3736097 but the casting number on the cam would be 3736098. You may no this already but thought I would mention it just in case: What ever cam you use needs the rear...

Yes a 30 over 350 block with a 4" stroke crank will give you a 408 but it can not be done with a stock block because there isn't enough room for the 4" crank. If you don't want to go with aftermarket...

Exhaust 207cfm at .700"

I know it's not going to be exact. Just looking for a rough ballpark even just to see if comes up close to what Virtual Dyno said...

Looking at the contact pattern is only a final check not for setting the pinnion depth. You need to measure the pinnion depth with a gauge of some sort. You can either purchage a pinnion depth gauge...

If you have the correct tools you can do it without damaging any of the bearings.

The side bearings will not have to be removed so if they are in good condition you won't have to replace them.
