In one car the oil pan was used as the lift point for a floor jack and the T-Top overhead console map light was removed and a cheap audio tweeter put in it's place.

I just took some pictures of an instrument panel I removed from a 1989.
You'll have a spring clip you have to press in towards the panel while you pull the cable out. The cable is not...
