Re: Rear Disc Brakes Don't Work (Losing Pressure)

Yes, that very fitting. The one that connects to your dash. It has a hex type head on it below the connector.

You can buy a vacuum gun or rent it out from a parts store. They shouldn't be very...

Re: Rear Disc Brakes Don't Work (Losing Pressure)

Before you go out and spend more money, do this. Take the brake light fitting off the prop valve, not just the connector. You should hear a slight pop or click or at least feel it. You essentially...

Re: Axle shaft diameter?

Darn, I keep forgetting the important info. Sorry about that. The 10 bolt. The reason I ask is because I'm curious if the axles work with a GM 8.5 10 bolt carrier or LSD with the 28 splines. I would...

Axle shaft diameter?

Off the top of your heads, what is the diameter of the 28 spline axle shafts? Not the axle tubes, but the axle shafts. Can't seem to find an answer on the interwebs or anywhere else. Thanks.

You're really gonna wake up that 383 with a 3.73 gear set. Do you want to upgrade the entire thing to something stronger, or keep it budget and rebuild the 10 bolt?

Re: S60 Rear

The lightest of the three is the 12 bolt I believe and the most efficient given the size of the ring gear. It's a very tough unit. 400rwhp? No problem for this thing.

Re: help need gears..

I see Torsen diffs on Ebay with gears pretty often. I don't think you'll find one with 3.73's but you never know. Are you absolutely set on 3.73? A 3.42 is a nice alt and more plentiful.

Re: Stupid Important Question. How do I get the Drums off of the rear, and discs on?

If you're lucky, you won't have to cut the big bolt that holds the backing plate to the axle flange on the drum setup. Just know it is really touch to back it out.
