I can absolutely leave them bare if you want to do your own anodizing.

And yes its all plate T6 so it's fairly easy to buff and polish yourself unlike flat bar stock.

Base plate, tabs and the two support arms are 1/4" 6061 T6, the plate that bolts to the hood is 3/8. Tabs are tig welded in the jigs. Then each piece is bolted together with the bearings.

In case anyone comes across this, Big Block Chevy + edelbrock 29045 + 1" spacer + 6061 ls1 elbow + 102mm LSX TB + 4" cowl will clear with room to spare.

Thanks Orr, I just ordered a 4" fiberglass hood. I had to add a 1" spacer to clear the water neck /elbow but from the sounds of it I should still be "okay".
