I know what you mean. Had a big headache with them a few years back, getting the title for my Camaro. They kept insisting I had a title from Oklahoma that they needed from when I was stationed there....

Sniffer test shouldn't be an issue; only do visual check in Eastern NC as far as I know ( at least in Cumberland County anyway).

Think you might be right. Just checked on my car; the mounting lug that is visible is much closer to the edge of the panel than the holes in the top picture, like maybe an inch from the edge.

and apparently Hella makes starter relays. When my guy at Advance ( thanks Talon ) typed in the number, it came back as a starter relay..with a cross...

Hmm..I may still be looking at the wrong relay..only thing my blind a@@ seems to see is a relay with about 6 or 8 wires going into it that looks like this relay...

This is just what I was looking for picture-wise. I have the GM shop manual, and when I looked behind the tar paper patch below the hood release ( as was shown in the book) there was nothing there....

A 9 bolt rear stock on a 1992? I don't recall ever having seen that before, even on a 1LE. I thought it was always a 10 bolt regardless of the RPO; only the gear ratio changed.

Kinda had to use Hypertechs..the factory clip was burnt up from years of being near the headers. Personally I don't quite see the point of that black plastic "shroud" hypertech uses..it's not like...

now if I can just pin down why my tach reads so damn high. Richmond gear 5 speed and 3.32 rear..supposed to b e at about 3100 rpm at 75...oh no, I hit about 4500..90 gives me about 5500. Now you see...

sounds plausible, how might it happen though? I took the original wire, clipped off the end, attached a female spade connector and attached that to the male connector on the Hypertech pigtail, and...

I just swpped mine out with a Hypertech 4026..the connector on the pigtail didn't match up to the stock wiring..so I clipped the old wiring, added a female spade connector and attached the two. Fan...

It doesn't help airflow..just kind of provides a smooth passage for it as the air is directed up behind the bumper from under the car.
