Does the fuel pump prime for 3 seconds when the key is first put in run? I would look at fuel first, with what you have said. Try start fluid squirt in T/B.

I am using std hastings brand cast iron rings, though getting the oil ring to go into the bore is giving me he11. So the .002 on the plastigage is good?
