I just recently converted my 89 Iroc to carb when my TPI motor threw a rod. I got my engine from phoenixengine.com A 350 330hp motor that runs great. I want to upgrade to bigger motor eventually....

Sounds like your TV cable. Mine wouldnt kick down either when I first got it back from the rebuild because the adjusted it wrong. Mine had way too much slack in it. There are many threads on here...

To my knowledge a 700R4 doesnt shift by vacumn or electrical connection. The electrical connection is for the lockup to engage in OD. 700R4 will shift on its own. I know if the TV cable is off...

Oh yeah, at one point I had the slider so far back it would come forward by the clicks...it just all shot forward at one time. How did you connect the cable if you cut the black connector off?

Noreaster is a big *** storm....kind of like a tropical storm, just a little weaker. I saw the transfixleo method on here too. Im going to try that as well.
