I bought my 91 Z28 about 6 months ago. It's got relatively low miles (53k), but behind the rear wheels looked terrible. This was my first project on this car, cost about $700 and I couldn't be happier with the results.
1) new sway bar and end links
2) new panhard bar
3) new control arms
4) new drum breaks, wheel cylinders and drums
5) new brake lines
6) cleaned and painted the wheel well
7) new springs (lowered 1.25”)
8) new shock
9) lots of sanding and painting
Thanks Mike! All the fantastic people making thirdgen YouTube videos really helped me. Don't get me wrong it was a lot of work, but all the parts are relatively easy to change. The only issues I came across was removing the rusty nuts. I had to cut about half of them off. The lowering springs I got were BMR. I went with them based on online reviews and the price.

Kind of amazing what a bit of detail work will make on an old third gen, looks great. I usually use some VHT clear on brake drums to keep them looking new for a good while.
That turned out great! Did you use BMR for the other suspension components? I assume adjustable because of the lowering? Poly ends or swivel ends? Thanks!
Yeah. I didn't realize that I needed to do that until someone on here told me though haha! I took off the old panhard bar and replaced it with an adjustable one and then adjusted it until the wheels were centered in the well. I also put on some LCARBs.
It came out nice, good work. I used Rustoleum Industrial paint, Aluminum color, on my drums and they look great even 2 yrs. down the road.
If you can take a pic of the car on the ground. I am thinking on lowering just the rear of my car like you did and would like to see how yours turned out.
The top photo is the before. The middle is the after (tried to get the same angle and position). And the third is a side shot so you can better see what the lower it looks like. I was wrong about the springs in my initial post though. They are 1.75" lower, not 1.25". I personally like the look of only the rear end being a little lower and I feel that 1.75" was just about perfect.
