What's the Best Way/Product To Use To Remove Light Scratches On The Drivers Door Glass From Cranking The Window Up And Down For 36 Years.
Sorry About The Window Reflections
I tried a couple different products to remove scratches similar to this and haven't found any that work.
I agree with okfoz - only way to fix is replace the window.
I remember watching a restoration show years ago, maybe from the guys at Legendary Motorcar. I seem to recall them using successive finer grades of steel wool, but not the hardware store stuff. They used it on old Ferrari's and that sort of thing where buying a new window wasn't an option. Not sure where you find that fine a grade.

Give some Cerium Oxide polishing compound a try; the Google will locate a source for you.
In my experience the products out there to remove even fine scratches from glass are labor intensive and messy and you run the risk of distorting the glass if you get overzealous. The end result is usually not worth the trouble.
If only i could find new glass.... been looking for a drivers side for years.... no one actually has it.... been watching Craigslist....only passenger doors come up...

Re: WINDOW SCRATCHES
Call around to local Glass shops, Someone will have a source... Hawks should have something as well.. They would be used, but that would probably be the best you can do... There were millions of them made. Finding a perfect one might not be in the cards, but you might find one that is really good.
Keep in mind, IF you have a Norwood car, you have PPG Glass, and Van Nuys has LOF Glass
