My Stereo randomly pops

I was driving today and i started hearing a loud pop come form either my subs or rear speakers it would do it randomly. Then when i got home i put it in park it popped again so i put my car in drive popped put it in park popped. I checked all my wires and connections any ideas what it could be? I also started hearing a little enigne noise in my rear speakers which ive never had before.

Check your grounds. Also, check your battery terminals.

My 6x9 and my subs are runing off of 2 different amps but getting there power from the same sorce. Today i turned my steering wheel i herd it pop. Then i closed my center counsle i herd it pop. Put it in gear herd it pop. Then it goes away and magicly starts popping again. I checked connectiosn from the battary. I cant find were my amp is grounded to ive tried in the past to find it but was never able to. If it is a ground problem would me turning my steering wheel cause it to pop?

It sounds like you have a loose wire. A slight bump or movement of the car will make the wire loose the connection. Just go over your system with a fine tooth comb.

No basicly its a wire from the battary going to my first amp then i have another amp wire that goes from the first amp to the second amp so the second amp gets power. Same with the grounds havent had any problems with it in the 2 years ive had them til now.

I have no clue what the problem is. I would rip every piece of audio equipment out and start over.

The center console and shifter are awfully close to the deck. Could it be back there. This might not be the smartest thing but sometimes when something like that happens I'll turn on the system and go around bumping on things until I can locate the source. A good pop could mess up your speakers though so I'd be careful.

Are you using a common ground? If not, you can get ground loop hum. I switched to both power and ground distribution blocks, using 4-gauge for both, and that eliminated all my hum problems.
