completely stumped

okay, so my factory deck wasnt working, and i swapped it with a pioneer premier 750 today. i soldered the wires for the new harness on, connected the antenna adapter, and everything worked fine. the deck powered up, the speakers came to life..great. i test fitted it and it would not fit, because i used the wrong dept on the mounting kit, no big deal, i switched it. after installing the deck, i go to turn it on and nothing happens. there is absolutely no power going to the deck. the fuse in the back of the deck is perfect, and so is the radio fuse in the fuse panel. i have no idea where to begin. is there an inline fuse somewhere on the power cable? please help. thanks.

I'd check a few things. First make sure the connection between the plug from the deck and the plug from the car. I once had a harness with a few messed up terminals, after a little bending and tweaking, it worked fine.

If your connection is fine, take a test light and check the wires from the car to the car harness, if those check out ok, then check the wires from the harness to the receiver. If these are all fine, you have to assume its something internal. Good luck!

yellow is main power, orange is controlled, hot when the accessory or igition is on. Thats the primary two you need to look at. Grey wire for the dimmer, but most aftermarket decks don't use it, and the pink is for the power antenna, (black) ground which you know, and the rest are your speakers.

The red wire from your deck is going to the yellow on the car.... check that one.

narrowed it down to the constant (orange)..couldnt trace why it had no power so i just spliced a new constant with inline fuse into it..works fine now--now for speakers amps and subs

thanks for all the help
