Re: Radio

Only place I've ever seen the stock radios is on ebay.....unless you go to a local Junk Yard and they have one. Here is what I found on ebay:

Re: Radio

Sorry, I didn't read your question good enough. I didn't think they even had Stock CD Players until the early 90's?!?

Re: Radio

Since GM is good for using the same harness setup on multiple vehicles in multiple years, see if you can find one out of an older "luxury" vehicle, maybe like a Cadillac? I doubt you will find anything from 84, but I think they used the same pinout until around 86, so that may get you a bit closer.

Another option would be to re-wire the harness to the newer GM style if you can get a donor harness from a junkyard (I was able to get mine for free at the last place I went to after all my stuff was stolen). That would open up a huge variety of stock-style decks.

Since my harness was hacked when I bought the my 89, this was the option I took. Only I replaced mine with what was original and went with a newer style Delco head unit that uses the same harness. I acquired the head unit from a car stereo shop, it was a leftover from a system install and the owner didn't want the old equipment returned to him.

Re: Radio

Shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure the harness is 89+ (I believe that's the year they changed). I had to wire in my harness since the previous owner hacked it out, but it now fits the 2002 style deck I have in my 89.
