Re: Flip out CD PLAYERS!
in a 89 camaro
I have a flip out its a 7 inch i believe its been in there for a year it fits GREAT!!! seriously there is a ton of room behind the CD player spot and I mean a TON. I actually have 6 thats right 6 sets of RCA's coming out of the back of it to and i had plenty of room for all of it
THE BAD
although i love the flipout i do have 1 problem with it... it covers the temperature controls when flipped out
i could remake a bracket to move them to the bottom but im lazy... if anyone else wants to sell me one id be interested

Re: Flip out CD PLAYERS!
i have a 86z with a 7" touchscreen and it sticks out way too far, i plan on trying to reinstall it better but havent yet. sorry for the poor pic quality, it sticks out about 1 1/2 inches. looks like crap. I have done a half dozen sound systems before in my vehicles and other peoples and never had one come out like this. It is a cheap "Dual" dvd, cd, mp3 deck.

Re: Flip out CD PLAYERS!
dont do it man! great for dvd's but thats it. I regret all 250 bucks i spent on it. I got a stiffy when i realized i had enough for a touchscreen flip out but I should have got the 150 dollar pioneer deck. For the price, i think pioneer is the way to go. the last one i bought was in 00' and it just died after eight years. I smoked in the car everyday too so I know that had to be bad for it. (not my Z
it was an alero) The speakers are still bumping some Cemetary Gates.
There arent many features for audio just a standard mid low and high for the kind of money they cost, they could have given it a little more.

Re: Flip out CD PLAYERS!
no frame at all, the unit supports itself at the back and small brackets at the sides hold the deck in.
