Re: nav

im sure no company makes a harness to just plug the toyota nav into the stock wiring, so youll have to wire it yourself. i dont know a single thing about the toyota nav, but im guessing its a nav/radio. im also assuming all it needs is a few simple wires, like constant power, switched power, ground, and the speaker outputs. however there is the possiblity that it requires a lot more wiring than that.

Re: nav

What you could do is this.

Get an aftermarket wiring harness that allows you to install an aftermarket deck into the factory harness.

Then go cut the plug (with some extra wiring) from whatever toyota that nav came out of. Then connect the wires from the aftermarket harness to the wires/plug you cut out of the toyota.

plug the toyota harness into the Nav, plug the aftermarket harness into the Factory GM plug.

that way you don't have to cut any wires in your car.

You're also going to need to tap into the speed sensor for that Nav. Not sure if an 86 has one?? Anyone know?

Re: nav

oh, Is this a JBL Toyota Nav?
I think those are all digital too, at least it is on my 4Runner. So there are no speakers leads on it. The wires send a digital signal to an amp, and from there they go to the speakers.

If it is digital, you're better off getting an aftermarket nav. The JBL ones really don't sound all that great.
