man i know the feeling. i had the same thing happen to me when i put the holley on my car. i halfassed the throttle cable to the carb with a small bolt and a nut. when i mashed the gass the cable got stuck and and gave me one hell of a scare. i think every neighbor on my street came runnuing out yelling at me. man i've never so many pissed off people .

Try opening the primaries and secondaries all the way by hand.
Maybe a wrong gasket between the carb and intake has a little too small throttle hole. The secondaries can easily stay open.

My neighbors are the cops hehe. I forgot to put on the return spring once and had the throttle hang up a little. Made it interesting in heavy traffic

do drive through FL alot. yeah im suprised the cops weren't around too. the funny thing is that my one neighbor is a lady with two kids under the age of 5 and she walk over to me while i was fixing the problem, and we had a conversation about my car. she said she liked it alot. and she was the only one that believed me that it was a mistake.

I lived in Oakland for ~8 years and went to school at Hills. Speeding around FL was fun... especially passing anyone that was outside. They'd always give you a dirty look.

Did you figure out what got the cable stuck, ridecamro?
