Re: running rich
two things i can think of..
1. is the manual choke open when you drive??
2. what is the fuel pressure??
oh and what size carb?? you sure the motor is a 350 and not a 305??

Re: running rich
fuel pressure, float level, mixture screws, etc etc. Go on edelbrock's website and download their manual for whatever carb you have and set it up following the instructions.

Re: running rich
IIRC, the fuel pressure should never go above 6.5psi.. theres your problem.. what does your fuel system look like?? pump, regulator, lines??
and nearly everyone will tell you to get a pressure gauge after the regulator..
also, if you have the choke open at all times, see if you can take it off.. you dont want it accidentally closing on you..

The screws only affect the idle mixture. To change the cruise or power ratio, you need to change rods and/or jets.
