hmmmmm

i was wondering, you know that **** about the engine in the hood like that cloth crap on the underside of the hood, my friend told me to remove it, should i or would it **** up the paint i live in south texas so i doesn't really get that cold?

alright sorry, you know on the underside of the hood, that cloth that keeps the heat in, should i remove it or will it mess up the paint?

I believe it's there to prevent your hood paint from bubbling up and flaking off or whatnot. But some people (Kandied) have removed theirs with no problem. :: shrug ::

It mainly keeps the engine noise down, which is a good reason to take it off.

so wil it effect the paint? has any body done it and the paint messes up?

It doesn't affect the paint. It's main purpose (as stated above) is to keep the engine noise down. It's GM's way of civilizing the V8 under the hood for interior passengers.
