1228746 ecu file?

I'm trying to get started and can't find an ECU file for my 1228746. I had a friend read a scrapped ECM's PROM so I could at least look at what I'm gettng into.

After reading a few intro articles, it seems that diy-efi is the worst organized organization ever and I can't find promedit nor any ecu files for WinBin.

Does anyone know where I can get an ECU file? I hope this isn't PROM begging, as I already have the PROM. Actually, I don't really understand what the ECU file is... Shouldn't a regular hex editor work for this? Or does the ECU file organize the values and label them?

edit: nasty typos

Thanks in advance for the file.

I think I was quite upset when I wrote my first post... Sorry about that. i had many links pointing to the one place that didn't work - diy-efi.org

New guy here too...could I please get a copy of that 1228746 ECU file. I am installing a TBI system from a 1990 Caprice police cruiser on my AMC 360 and I need to be able to disable VATS and the auto trans stuff as well as the emissions stuff so that I can run my CJ7.
Many thanks in advance...

if Jon Prevost doesn't mind, and someone has some webspace, maybe putting it up for download would be a good move.
