CARB stuff?
I'm mainly into TPI right now but wondered about my other stuff.
Is there anything that can be done to the carb'ed cars ECM as far a prom changes?
I haven't been able to find anything related to the part numbers of the carb ECMs and of the control of these things and am beginning to wonder if everything is resistor based and pretty well fixed in thier design.
Just wondering if I could do something with my 85 Grand Prix to boost it up a bit.

Thanks for the push in the right direction.

I'm not able to find that source file 8079.src you listed was on Craig's site. He must have moved it or maybe its renamed.
Can you send me the file (or similar CCC hack) if you still have it lying around?
Or point me to where one might be
Thank you again,
Jp
edit: I did find RBob's CPK files, I'll start there.

L69 secondary metering rods, or some out a Buick 4.1L Quardrajet, are the easy answers for decent secondary metering rods.

Thanks Grumpy,
I've had good luck with QJets in the past (good old ones)
I was more curious about the ECM end of the things and if there was any worthwhile tuning tweaks to be done.
I'm still diggin' around to see what make 'em tick.

I'm SLOWLY working with some of the stuff that John has posted, but time is at a premium!
As far as your stock engine LG4 or L69, I don't know that you'll find much in the wqay of performance gains, but maybe a bit in driveability by playing with the TCC stuff. The reason I'm wanting to mess with it is the Aluminum heads, and significantly different engine, I'm sure the timing could use some work! The Fueling is OK (That's, just ok), but I bet there's some power to be found in the timing curve on my application! This is an interim solution, until I get the $$$ (and time) to go EFI.... I need to get a transmission working well first!

If you're curious about your ECM# and don't know where to look, you can get on Autozone's website and look up the ECM # there. Sometimes they will list multiple ECM's but usually that's for EFI.

You're right, most lists show only the efi stuff.
I've come across a few that would get me into the arena but nothing exactly what I was looking for.
i'll keep digging around, I'm sure there's more out there that what I've seen so far.
