Anyone used Howell EFI??

Their website says they specialize in TBI and custom chips for the holley 670 etc. Has anyone here used them? I don't need a perfect chip right now, just one to get my car idling right with a good spark and fuel curve. Right now i have to keep my defroster/ac on so the computer compensates with a higher and more steady idle. They only want $125 and right now it's worth it to me until I can get the time to burn my own.

Car: 88 Monte SS
Engine: Super-rammed L-98 383
Transmission: T-56 6-Speed
Axle/Gears: 8.5" G-BODY G-80 3.73
I used a HOWELL TPI 90-92 prom with VATS delete, EGR delete, and a few other items. The chip works fine. They are really cheap on their prom prices, I paid $125 for mine. I have never had a problem with this chip It started up fine, from the very first time, and continues to do so. It also idles good too. They aren't hyped up like other vender chips. The prom burners ask you the information on your car and also if and what systems you want deactivated from your car. HTHs.

now I realize that I'm no HTML expert, but that is one of the saddest web pages I've seen yet Come on, scanned pages that look that they were done on a typewriter?!

So, this place makes custom PROMs, not just stock BINs? they made no mention whatsoever about customizing anything to a customer's specs. If they'll do that, maybe that's where to go, $125 is a good deal.

Anybody know where they're located? I noticed they're in my area code. Kinda strange that they wouldn't give their location, maybe they DON'T want people coming by in person?

They're in Michigan, but where exactly I don't know. I actually e-mailed first and they replied saying it was better if I called. That way they could get everything done easier. They actually asked for my number and said they would call me! I gave them my new specs and what kind of car I had. A coupla days later I had a custom prom. There is a problem with my IAC, but they said it could be that they did'nt use the right BIN, so I'll be sending them my original chip for them to copy and modify. They are doing this at no extra cost. It's been a very good deal for me so far and they'll tweak it for you a coupla times without going over the original price.

Car: Turbo Buick
Engine: 3.8 V6
I think they do a very good job of guessing, and id say they are the best for tbi proms by far, i know of several people who have used their chips and ive looked at the calibration on them and they most certainly do tailor it to the vehicle

There's like sooo many spelling errors on those scans it's not even funny. They sell "connentors", "relaays" and their kits are "universaal". LOL

I hope they know what they are doing . I am building a new engine for my truck , and I am going to use their prom and wiring harness for the edelbrock tbi to multipoint conversion kit. They sell the whole multipoint conversion for $750, about $300 cheaper than Summit or Jegs and that includes a custom prom! They have been really helpful on the phone, and they were actually recommended to me from another injection shop in Florida. Hopefully they are good.

Freeze,

How much do they want for the edelbrock wiring harness alone??? I don't need the intake/injectors or anything else as I am making my own MPFI manifold system and ONLY NEED THE LITTLE HARNESS thingy... I don't see their Edelbrock conversion prices anywhere on their website...
