O-Meter with LC-1 reviews?

I've done a search and can't seem to come up with anything...

does anyone own this combo? opinions?

I've been reading about it on moates.net, seems pretty cool. One thing that I found weird was you cannot upload the datalogs to your PC, but I'm not quite sure yet if thats super important.

I'm looking into purchasing a wideband to eliminate some guesswork, so I figured I would ask.

Re: O-Meter with LC-1 reviews?

Sorry. I use my O-meter strictly as a visual dsplay. My WB's are tapped into my data stream for data logging.

I love mine -- leave it hooked up all the time to help tune my carb.

Very Very Usefull and so cheap everyone should really have one that is serious about tuning.

Re: O-Meter with LC-1 reviews?

I love my O-meter.... but I use it for a completely different purpose. In Code59 we have it outputting the Knock Retard that is in the ALDL stream out one of the ECM outputs and have it displaying that number to the O-meter. So it will show you exactly how many degrees of KR you are getting. I use the HI feature in the O-Meter to have it flash HI if it is above 6 Degrees of KR. (on a turbo vehicle any more and damage can occur)

To do this we had to make a simple Cap/Resistor Circuit and have it feed into the o-meter. We then added a table to Code59 and test constant that would let us fine tune the output to match the Cap/Resistor circuit so if you went with ai different gauge or circuit, you could fine tune it to match your setup. - I didn't come up with this, Turbodig is the one that figured out the ASM and the circuit, I just did all the testing. It works awesome.

This version of code59 with the knock output hasn't been released yet but should be coming down the pipe in the next release.

Here is the circuit and table. The ECM in use is the 749.

Re: O-Meter with LC-1 reviews?

looking to bring this thread alive since i'm looking to start datalogging wideband as well as narrowband readouts..... from what i understand, all i need is the following:

o-meter with sensor and wire - 243
bung and plug - 8
$251

is there any way to get a readout anywhere else other than cutting a hole in the exhaust????

also, about the datalogging, i'm gonna be using the LC-1, but is there a USB connection on the o-meter so i can datalog on my laptop? or how does it work?
