Opinions on tuning this Blueprint crate engine with 165 TPI

Car: 86 Imponte Ruiner 450GT, 91 Formula
Engine: 350 Vortec, FIRST TPI, 325 RWHP
Transmission: 700R4 3000 stall.
Axle/Gears: 9 Bolt Torsen 3.70
Opinions on tuning this Blueprint crate engine with 165 TPI
A fellow member is having me swap the engine in his 87 IROC due to a failed rod bearing. We are considering this crate engine:

We have the mechanical details sorted out re: what parts are needed for a bolt-in fitment. Talked to BP about all that.
Cam specs as listed by Blueprint:
Cam Type: Roller
.495 Intake .503 Exhaust
220 Intake / 224 Exhaust duration
@ .050 - 112 degree lobe separation
Anyone see any problems tuning this with $6E on the existing MAF hardware? I do have an EBL setup that would work also. Just wondering how much trouble this cam is going to give me at idle.....

Should run ok on a 350 chip even without a tune. I have a pretty stupid setup running on a stock 350 maf tune.. (Yes, it seriously needs a tune)

I'm going to attempt to get it through emissions so hopefully I can get the idle decent. I know my 112 LSA cam in my truck with an Edelbrock makes your eyes burn with how rich it likes to idle.

My .02.... make sure your customer knows this thing is gonna fall flat on it's face at 45-4700rpm with the TPI on it. It's not going to start making power until 2500, so that is a pretty narrow powerband IMO.
I had a TPI that I put headers on, and a GM 350HO cam that spec'd .480 and 230@.050. Made it a pig off the line and stopped pulling at 4800.
Less cam will be easier to tune and funner to drive IMO.
I don't remember the LC, but it thumped pretty good at idle,

Shouldnt be hard at all. I’ve done 4 with cams from 218 to 230 deg. 350 to 383. All worked out well
however the bigger stuff i liked to be in open loop. I didnt wantthe o2 to try correct for overlap events, i had a weird lean out on start up that went away after a few minutes but it was annoying lol probably some o2 ready settings or something
other than that it wasnt bad at all. Lt4 Hotcam stuff ran half decent on stock tune with mild changes to desired idle speed, timing, and injectors size. Extremely well mannered. All of them were good drivers. Big stuff with stealth ram and others with tpi

Well - it's ordered so here's hoping I don't have to swap the cam in it!
Thoughts on this passing emissions? Here in OR they only do a tailpipe sniff at idle and 2500. No inspection.

No experience with emissions tuning but California guys claim to have passed with bigger cams
