could this kill a battery?
I noticed the other day that my dome light was out. I removed the cover and found the bulb slightly mis-colored but when i went to remove it i touched it a little and it turned on. I shrugged my shoulders and went on my way. Now today my battery is dead. I get in the car and find the dome light is off again. When i touch it, again it turns on. There appears to be a burn look to the plastic where the bulb goes but i'm not sure if it is b/c of this. Woudl this be the problem with my battery being dead?
Actually, i just replaced it in september. I replaced my starter yyesterday b/c when me and my friend tried to jump the car there was just a clicking that seemed to be coming from the starter. After i replaced it it jump started fine and this morning it started up without much of a problem. I'm just gonna have to wait and see. is it possible that the starter was draining the battery?

Its posible but unlikely that the starter was drawing current. Most likely it was something else that was drawing current.
If you have a meter you can check for current draws at the fuse box.

Pull a fuse with the key off. Place your meter in its place. Turn the key to on but not start. Then turn the key off. You should definatly have under 1amp ideally less that .5amps.
