acc fuse

hey everyone i pulled down my fuse block to check the acc fuse. and i noticed that there is only the orange wire going into there. is that correct or is there suppose to be another wire right next to it. where the fuse connects into the fuse block. please any help would be awesume im having such a bad time with this fuse.

Hello Ryguy85,

There should be a red wire coming into one side of the ACC fuse from a fusible link off the starter solenoid and one orange wire coming off the other side of it and branching off to a multitude of circuits. Inside the fuse block itself, the ACC fuse is linked to several other fuses such as the "TAIL" fuse. It also has a link to the power antenna relay. Try putting a fuse in it while it is hanging down and see if it blows. If it doesn't, then something above the fuse panel is touching there and causing it to blow. If it does blow, then something somewhere else in the circuit is causing it to blow.

what happens if there is only a orange wire what should the red wire be attached to

there is only an orange wire at the acc fuse. i could search around for a red wire or if easier where does it run into so i could replace it

hey i was wondering if having the red wire not connected would cause the fuse to blow? anyone know?

If theres no red wire you shouldnt be blowing fuses. The red wire may be wired into a different terminal on the block that is connected to that fuse thou.

what else runs off the acc fuse that might make it blow or has anyone else had this type of problem. its driving me nuts everytime just pop i cant understand it. my radio fuse was blown so i replaced that one cuz i know the two are run off each other but it didnt help the acc fuse. i dont know what to do with it im running out of ideas PLEASE HELP

I don't what your VIN is but is here is for both the engines in the 85 Z28.
