Turn Signals Ground Problem

I have been having a problem with my turn signals. I can put a fuse in and they will work one or tow times then the fuse blows and they won't work. I have replaced the turn signal switch so I think that its a bad ground somewhere and was wondering if anyone knew where to start.

Thanks

Re: Turn Signals Ground Problem

The tail light grounds are in the back underneath your hatch latch trim panel. The front grounds are under the hood on or near the radiator core support.

When they do flash, are they slow, fast or just wright?

Re: Turn Signals Ground Problem

I'm thinking the problem is before your flasher if not the flasher itself. A bad ground at the light would effect how long it takes the flasher to heat up and pulse.

Okay thanks but I think that I have replaced the flasher already so what else could it be?

Re: Turn Signals Ground Problem

A bare spot on one of the positive wires in your steering column or somewhere else going out to the lights. Not a ground. Any chance you damaged the wires from the turn signal switch cramming them back down the steering column when you replaced it?

Re: Turn Signals Ground Problem

Okay so I was wrong the turn signals work just Great when you turn left but when you flick the switch to turn right it starts out fast then gets slower and then blows the fuse

Re: Turn Signals Ground Problem

That could be a bad ground or a funky bulb.
