The 4th gen clutch hydraulics are a sure thing, as are the 4th gen pedals. I went that route when I swapped in my T56.

You need a 4th gen specifically because it is a pull-type where the 3rd gen is a push-type and would not work with the t56.
So wait, i'm doing the same swap, i was told that i can use 4th gen pedals for the swap. Is that true or can i only use 3rd gen pedals?

I believe the pedals are the same from reading info about that. I didn't have that problem as my car was already a 5 speed car.
