Planning on swapping to a 350 and was wondering how much a short and long block would cost on average.

l98 short block from www.sdpc2000.com is $1135 with no cam or lifters. you can find long blocks for ~ $2000.

 

or rebuilt longblocks (if you're so inclined) for about $600

 

Where do you get a rebuilt longblock for $600? Or what about a shortblock?

I think mike means rebuildable longblocks.

 

You could get a remanufactured short block for 800 but never heard of one for 600, and if so I'd question the quality of the product.
