Anyone else using Olds 455 in 3rd gens????
I just want to see how many people are using the Olds 455 in their 3rd gens, I thought i was the first but after looking on here ive seen a few more, so post if youve got one in your 3rd gen cars,
anyone using headers??
anyone got a manual trans???
anyone got one under a stock hood??
post some pics of the 455 in your cars!
Im in the process of putting a manual trans with my 455 with headers.
So i would like to see what all else has been done with Olds motors

If you haven't already gotten a response, you probably never will so don't do a TTT/Bump post.
This falls into the category of "If you have to ask, you shouldn't be asking".
An Olds swap will be very similar to a Pontiac swap which you can read about in the sticky at the top of this forum. Same goes for a Buick or Caddy engine. You'll be much better off just doing a BBC swap. It's easier and cheaper.

Don't get discouraged; just search and search and search....
I did this to my 87 Formula years back, and I did a quickie post about it if you search. Just search my name and you'll find it.
I have also put a Buick 350 under the hood of one. I have not used a 455 Olds, because I had a great running 350. The 455 is a little taller and wider due to the increased deck height to make up for the extra stroke.
Good luck and post lots of pictures!

That's a Buick 455.
I like them better, but its not an Olds. It is however, an 11 second car that is mild on the street.
Very nice combo...
