i have tips that extend out about 3" if i cut them to just behind the buper would my car be louder?

how do i make it louder outside?

 

Yes if you cut the tailpipes under the bumper it will make it louder because the sound vibrates of the underbody of the car. i have custom tailpipes that turndown before the back bumper. Louder than straight tailpipes

looking at your sig i would have to say, maybe a 40 series flowmaster, and some headers.

also, the 80 series you speak of, is it a full cat back or just the muffler...if its just the muffler, id recommend a full cat back

 

its full catback but the pipes are 2 1/4 "

 

a 3" catback would definetly add some sound to that...nice and loud.

Louder from the outside? Maybe some engine work, maybe starting with a new cam....
