My buddy made this exhaust for his IROC-Z when it had a 383. He sold the car, and I got my hands on his exhaust. Here are some pictures when he was fabbing it on his IROC:

I got the exhaust with flowmaster 50 series on it:

On my car, looks lower than it really is. I drove around town. Over bumps. Pulled into lots with decent incline/declines and never scrapped. So it works well for me:

Sound clip. I'll most likely be switching to 40 series next year:

Thanks. I'm certainly not saying I'll never scrap. But I purposely hit some decent size bumps and all was well. It's only a weekend warrior. So this will work fine. My buddys IROC wasn't lowered and he never scrapped once.

My old 383 LT1 setup was done similar (Y instead of a true-dual) ran in the same location's as yours. I rarely had issues with clearance. A few scrapes from parking garages etc.

Looks good!

Where does one find ovalized pipe? I understand the benefit of it but never seen it or understood what you use at the point where it changes from round to oval.

Could you post some links?
