That first car is $9,900 Charlie. He wrote it in the description and said Facebook wouldn't let him put that price? Anyways, that'd be a great car for $6,900 but with as dirty as the interior is....it might be a little high at $9,900?? Thoughts?
A black/gold, t-top, 5 speed, TPI, IROC-Z holds a special place in my heart lol. I want one SO BAD!!

Well, facebook seems to control everything, so maybe they know the car better than the owner.......
Somebody on this site made a comment about missing center caps that are available, and parts like that missing can & usually are an indication of the rest of the car. I very much agree with that. Might be the first time I have seen rear seats in worse condition than the front. To not even take the car outside for pictures or open the hatch for a rear interior shot is a little telling.
First time really reading though this thread & its interesting how a few of these cars from over a year ago are still for sale. IMO thats not a car for sale, thats somebody just putting a number on the wall to see if somebody wants it more than they want to keep it. In out world of free national advertising, there is a lot of that out there. Heres the blue 87 https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...9205201150853/
EDIT: I don't mean at all to say that everyone selling these cars should have center caps, air caps & every emblem in perfect order. But I think the sellers that don't care about these details (& thats perfectly fine) are comparing prices they see on other cars that do have the details & documents taken care of & then slap the same price tag on them. I like looking at diamonds in the rough that enthusiasts can detail, clean & bring back to their full potential. Many of those cars have threads on this site. Not many will pay the completed project price up front Thats kinda silly
Getting a little off scope here, but have you guys notice how a lot of people selling project cars often include a few pictures of completed cars in their sale to promote what the car "could look like" ? whats that all about? seeing that more & more.
Some people really don’t know how to sell a car. They don’t wash it, they don’t clean the interior, they don’t fix any little easy flaws, etc... They take a couple bad pictures from bad angles and put a price on it.
They want someone to pay them money for putting in the bare minimum amount or work that they put in...
That black one at $9900 is high. At 100k miles I’d bet the paint is rough, probably has door dings, hood dings and the interior is probably dirty and smells bad. It probably needs $1000 or more in re-conditioning and PDR. Hopefully the front spoiler isn’t scraped and cracked... Unless he can present that car better it’s a $6500-$7000 car to me... Should be a G92...
The Z28 has a bra on it which almost always means the front end is beat up and something about the interior just looks like a lot of cigarettes were smoked in there... 58k miles though, I’d check the history report on that... Price seems more reasonable...
There's a lot going on there... Alston SFCs with the Spohn T56 crossmember is a non-compatible combination. Can't really tell if the crossmember is mounted overlapping the subframes or if they've been notched. The exhaust hanger and the crossmember are another mismatch. Looks like they just left the hanger off the cat, which will work until the exhaust cracks. Plenty of other missing pieces and questionable bits visible in the pics...
This is the kind of car I'd pursue. Not too many miles, seems all there, stick, vert, not a crazy price. If this one doesn't sell quickly, you know the pandemic has for the time being, kicked the floor out from under 3rd gens.

Agreed. This car has a lot going for it and very good price!
Some people don’t want a vert, but some REALLY want one...
I've been talking to that dude. The car was vandalized at some point and has had a complete repaint, top replaced, and even at least 1 window replaced. The seats aren't exactly awesome. It is a G92. I'm supposed to be meeting up with him this weekend. He's actually interested in making a trade deal for my Corvette.

its weird im seeing a lot of good deals on third gens and seeing bargains at auctions on them but other cars are still bringing good money .. ive seen some fox body mustangs at the same auctions doing crazy money ..

whoa! Who’s the lucky person that got the 90 5-speed?
Too bad about the vandalism on the 88 Vert... I noticed they only sort of showed the back of the seats in the pics... 8 out of 10 times when you request pics of the seats there’s seat foam showing...
Must have been an older repaint because most people don’t put the side moldings back on since they only recently came out with good reproductions and the front end looks like it’s either a little beat up or covered in bugs..
That guy could learn a thing or two about selling cars...

I’d still like to see the car in person...
Yep, the repaint was done a long time ago. It looks like everything was done right, all disassembled, all new graphics, etc.
52k miles
dx3
g92
n10
2 owners
ALL original paperwork, window sticker, original order form, etc
That was a cool car. You know what I like? You, Darin and others, get these cars, get them sorted and fixed and then pass them on to the next caretaker.

Thanks! That means a lot.
I fixed all of its issues and got it to someone who will take care of it for a LONG TIME!
So I just spent the last hour cleaning up the Vette, and ready to climb in and hit the road and I get a text message from the Camaro guy saying he can't trade me. He is stressed out with not working from the virus crap and he just needs to sell the IROC outright. Crap.

I feel like Charlie isn't gonna be able to sleep until this baby is sitting in his garage......right under his "Don't even THINK about touching my Camaro" sign.

I might consider this but it does not have the dual exhaust. (110 mph speedo).
For me it is worth $13k plus transportation down to Texas.
i have noticed the 91-92 5 speed z28's with t-tops dont have the g92 option .. according to our tech data on this board if you didnt get the g92 option you got 3.08 gears , single cat exhaust and smaller cam and what you pointed out the 110 speedo and the redline on the tach is 5000 on this car compared to 5500 on the g92 cars with the better cams .. i think i would search for a g92 car probably funner to drive ..
I knew you'd like that one! I think it's pretty neat, too. It'd make a fun little driver for the money, and it appears to be in pretty great shape, too

Narrow tires and the 115mph speed limiter too... *barffff*
