How much power will 2 bolt take?

i've got a 390 hp roller 2 bolt and i'm wondering if i can get away with 50 or 75 squirt.Anybody here got a hi horse 2 bolt that is handling a lot of power? I would really like to hear about your setups or E.Ts.On the bottle or not.

Some will argue the 2 bolt is stronger then a factory 4 bolt.

Wow...

I was told that the block becomes "iffy" at around 600 hp... Obviously, that depends on the individual block itself, & if you're building for big numbers, you'd be well-advised to have someone sonic-check the block...

Also, I've heard that turbochargers are pretty easy on parts (compared to blower/N2O), does anyone have any feedback on that?

But... wow... Maybe that 4340 crank I was looking at is a worthwhile investment...

I bet his main bearing caps are doing a dance.

On a 350 the four bolts are stronger, It's the 400 block that the two bolt is supposed to be stronger.

Forced induction in general is easier on BOTTOM end parts than high RPM. High RPM power is hard on the rotating assembly, since it's the change in direction of movement at high RPM that's the hardest. The high cylinder pressure of forced induction is harder on head gaskets the top of the piston more than anything.

the only way you can get a splayed 4 bolt is if you start with a 2 bolt, i'd say in the end it's better to convert a 2 bolt into a splayed 4bolt, then to use a factory 4 bolt.

Well in any case I think your motor will be able to handle 90hp shot.

I have a 2bolt block and stock crank. I estimate 600 rwhp. That comes out to close to 700 crank horsepower. You'll be fine.

As long as it was built right. Rods and mains torqued to the right specs i'd throw a 100-200 shot its way. I wouldn't worry about it. Just get the AF ratio dialed in and you'll be straight.
