Re: turbo install help

Yeah, what he said.

Just because it is free doesn't mean it is worth installing. It has to be within a certain size range to work properly. After you figure out if it is usable then start looking at what you need for other parts.

Re: turbo install help

It depends. What kind of torque/HP are you looking for? What do you like better High RPM / late spool, Low RPM / quick spool, or something in the middle?
What size engine and what are the mods from the stock setup?

What did the "free" turbo come off of?

Re: turbo install help

A single T4 or a pair of T3s would work.

Re: turbo install help

alot goes into a turbo build if you want a good setup, you are going to have to either buy the headers and cross overpipe or make them and then comes the cold side of the setup (intercooler to intake), oil lines, ect. Be patient if you want to spend $4500-$6000 on a kit i did a setup on my 1995 ford mustang gt and spent $2200.00 but i made the kit. The car when we got done made 835 hp and ran a 9.20 in the quarter. Number one thing in a project like that is research and planning because if you dont you will spend more money than you should have in the long run
