rear shaking during burnout
rear shaking during burnout
a friend of mine with a 90 RS is experiencing massive shaking when he tries to do a burnout. It didn't always do this. what are soem possible causes of this. I've heard from other poeple that they've had the same problem.
The rear end shakes and bounces, adn the hatch rattles like hell. Any help is greatly appreciated.

his car doesn't have a lot of ***** or anything, just a L03 with homemade ramair through where the high beams were.
Is this caused by the bushings on the lower control arms being worn out, or the pinion angle changed? he didn't lower it or change anything.

Sounds like yerbasic wheel hop...
These cars all do it, some worse than others. The car needs LCA lowering brackets. It's a deficiency in the design of the rear suspension.

Mine doesn't do it during burnouts, but it does it on the freeway 70mph and above. Mainly the passenger side of rearend. Feels like it's bouncing/rattling/vibrating crap. I can't figure out whats wrong? Car is at stock height with new shocks and new wheel bearings in rearend. Putting new tires on this Weds. but I doubt that fixes the problem?

Out-of-balance or out-of-round (separated) tire; bent wheel; bent axle. That's about all that can cause that.
Your wheels & tires may fix it, or at least change it; if they don't, it's axle time. They bend surprisingly easily by curbing the car sideways.
