Third Gen Front LCA Bushings

Does anyone know where I can find spherical bushing for the front LCAs for a Third Gen? We have an SCCA A-Sedan car that is equiped with them (came with the car) so I know they were available at one time. We are building another car and would like to run the same type bushings.

Thank you in advance for any information. -Keith

For information, they are very similar to these found at Speedway Motors:

not sure with the bearing ones, but global west makes delrin bushings for the a-arms. they also offer no deflection

VSE (Herb Adams) used to make them. Not sure if you could find any NOS sets. Wouldn't be too difficult to make them or have them made.

Re: Third Gen Front LCA Bushings

Thanks for the replies. I did previously find the Global Del-a-lum bushings and decided that's probably the way to go, but I figured I would ask anyway. ...I might try making them from Howe or Speedway stuff.

Thanks again.

I would go with spherical bearings way before going with a del-a-lum (DAL). Too much play in the DAL setups, and, there is nothing in the design of the a-arms and K-member that specifies that the two mounts are exactly inline with each other.

I've posted a basic drawing of how to build a spherical bearing set up here on TGO.

I've only got poly bushings right now drilled for grease zerks so I haven't had a chance to play with the del-a-lums, but where's the slop? From a maintenance standpoint I'd rather run the del-a-lums if I ever get around to replacing the poly stuff.

Do you have a link to the drawing? I have searched and can't seem to find anything.

Found it. Actually a decent thread with other good information in it:

Re: Third Gen Front LCA Bushings

I guess I forgot to mention that they make them to fit 3rd gens too. I think the ones for the 2nd gen A arms work on our cars.
