CAM??

CAM??

Will a cam that is out of carb'd motor work in a 305 TBI?? Also all the other valve train stuff work (valve springs, timming chain, roller rocker, ect)...Thanks Jeremy

Yes, as long as it's a roller cam. Why would you want a used cam though?

Sorry, i didn't mean a used one. I meant are they compatible. Cause i found one in the summit catalog that i want, and i didnt know with it be carb'd or FI would make any difference. Will all the other valve train stuff work as well, like valve springs, timming chain, ect?? Thanks

im looking at one out of summit.. its a 224/230 @50 with a both int/exh being under .550 lift??

No, you can use a flat tappet cam in a roller block if you use the right timing chain, lifters and pushrods.

That cam isn't listed as computer-compatible, but it's pretty mild so it might work.
