What about this cam...

Ok I am finalizing my buildup for this summer. So far this is what I am thinking.

Ported World S/R Torquer 305s ( found some used ones)
edelbrock TBI manifold
Stock TBI with ultimate TBI mods 350 injectors
T56 with 4.10 gears

I am having troubel selecting a cam, I previously was going to go with the LT4 hot cam, but I realize it is too big. Now I am thinking of using a ZZ4 cam. I just wanted to get everyone’s opinion on this cam.
Specs:
@0.05" 208/221 0.474/0.510 112

Current setup: slp headers, high flow cat, flowmaster cat back, open element, msd digital 6, NOS kit,

I just bought one but I haven't installed it yet. I also have some S/R torquers, and full roller rockers(1.5) to install. I am thinking that it will work fine with some good tuning. I guess what I am saying is I am going to make this combo work one way or another. My plan is to get it running with a VAFPR and then get into chip burning.

Well I am just wondering how the car is going to run with the stock chip. I know it will not be running at peak performance. I am also starting to read about prom work, but I think the car will be running on the stocker for a while.

I also wanted to get people's opinions on how this cam will act. Desktop Dyno shows a relativly flat torque curve form 2000 to 4000 rpm.

you are in for adventures in tunign with a cam that big. you may be able to get it to run with the stock chip, but i wouldn't plan on driving too far.
do you burn chips yourself? cause either you are gonna hafta start right away or someone who can spend a lot fo time in your car is gonna have to.
once you get it righttha tcar will run like a monster, but it si gonna take a lot to get you there. just use a building block approach, start with the idle in park, then idle in gear, then cruising, then speed changes whiel cruising, the getting into the throttle from a roll, and last worry about being able to punch it from idle.
this is the easiest way to build it up and the car will get more and more drivable much faster.

later

I am about to order the pocket programmer and start burning chips for my car now to get some practice. My uncle is going to help me with the swap and he was a Ford mechanic (I Know..) for 15 years, retired a year ago. I was thinking that with his help I should be able to get the car in decent working order to drive back home.

NJ SPEEDER your scaring me, it is a long drive back and I don't want to break down.

wasp.. How does your car run with that cam in it? How much tuning did it require?

Does anyone else have any experience with a cam similar to the one I am thinking of using?
