when cold-won't run good

Anyone have the same problem? When my car is cold, it starts fine and idles fine but when you put it in gear it dosen't want to go. It acts like it is not getting any gas at all. I just swapped out the motor from a 305 to a 350 and I put a new TBI unit on from Turbo City and new injectors and the problem is still there. When the car warms up the problem goes away. The air/fuel gauge shows lean mixture when that happens. Any ideas????

Fuel pressure stays at 12psi. dosen't waver. I was beginning to think that it might be the fuel pump because that is the only thing that is original, but like I said the fuel pressure stays the same.

Pressure should be perfect, since the allowavle range is 11-13 PSIG.

Any more details or hints?

Timing is dead on, could it be the fuel filter? That don't make sense about it being warm though and working fine. Could it be a sensor of some kind? It worked fine right after I put on the new TBI and injectors and then a couple of days later it started doing it again but not as bad before with the 305 TBI. Could this be the chip doing this? I need to get a custom chip made!

probably just what you said in your post about the auto meter. Its going lean in open loop because the ecm is going right off the VE tables for the ol' 305 and isnt supplying engough fuel. When it goes into closed loop, the ecm can now see the engine is lean throught eh o2 sensor and can correct, within limits, for the lack of fuel. You need to burn a prom for it.

Your original post stated "new injectors", but what size? 36lb?
