Pro Magnum rockers and centerbolt valve cover q...
Is there any clearance issues wen using Comp Camps Pro Magnum non-self aligning rockers and center bolt valve covers? They arent narrow body rockers, so is it possible to clearance the valve covers enough for these to work?

I am running them with no probs. I am running tall valve covers but I believe you are concerned with the clearance around the centerbolt webbing in the valve cover not with height correct?
I had custom valve covers made and went tall just in case I ever needed them.
Maybe someone else running them with factory valve covers can chime in.

I'm running them with the stock valve covers. I had to cut all the webbing and oil baffles out. I tried the covers sold through Summit (SUM-G3314) but they wouldn't work either. Of course they told me they would fit my rockers and now the web page only lists the narrow ones.
But if you cut out the junk inside the valve cover you'll be fine. Dremel to the rescue.

only problem with do that on the stock valve covers is that the metal is thin and flexes too much to make a proper seal...
i picked up a set of pretty mint covers, they are cast aluminum, i used a porting bit to just take all the material out- fits perfect, and no leaks around the edges!

I had the exact opposite experience. The cast aluminum valve covers didn't have a lip on the bottom and wouldn't hold the gasket properly. They were a pain to get the gasket lined up correctly and then the they still leaked all over the place. But the stockers work perfect.
