I wasn't aware that we were supposed to use proper grammar.

Re: best bang for the buck engine combo

ok im looking into the second motor build the carbed 383 can u send me a more specific list of parts and where i can buy them? it would be greatly appreciated as my license is revoked for about 26 more days id like to have the swap completed by then... also any recomendations on what i can do to get my stock t5 ready to handle that motor? or would i be better off swapping in a t56 or something along those lines?

Re: best bang for the buck engine combo

487 lb-ft from a TPI 5.8L? That's crap ton of torque. It doesn't even look like that wild of a combo. Why did that engine perform so well? Was it the headers?

Following the rules of a written language generally helps other people understand what you're trying to communicate.

The excessive static compression was probably about 25 ft-lbs, but the rest is just a properly-matched combination. It wasn't my build, but I duplicated it and my dyno results were within 2%.

Everything here can be had from www.summitracing.com, and like I noted in the first post of that thread, the parts that aren't specified won't have much effect on the end results.
You'll have to really baby the T5, you should do the T56 or a TKO. If you must keep the T5, definitely use an aluminum flywheel to help the T5 survive.
